I was reading the owners manual last night for my new '97 K2500 regular cab with L65 motor, 5-speed transmission and 3.73 rear axle and the manual makes a couple of disturbing statements. First, it ssays don't use 5th gear when towing. I am hoping that is refering to gas engines since 5th gear is 2,000 rpm at 65 mph.The oil capacity of a 6.7 Cummins varies based on the model year. Engines produced after model year 2010 need 12 quarts of oil, or 3 gallons of oil.
